An announcement from the Pastoral Search Committee

The Pastoral Search Committee has been working hard to find a minister to fill the void left by Rev. Toliver in 2020. After many months of waiting, with few applicants, we have found a pastor that we feel could be a good fit for us. He has been invited to come and fill the pulpit on February 27.  After the worship service, there will be a lunch, served by the Mission Board, and a time of fellowship. On the following Sunday, March 6, there will be a Special Meeting of the Congregation after the worship service. At this time, members will be asked to vote on whether or not to call this candidate into ministry at our church. We hope you will be able to be present for these important events! If any member will not be able to be present at this important meeting, a voting ballot will be provided in advance of the meeting, upon requesting one from the moderator, Ben Leezer or a deacon. 

Please add these events to your calendar:

• February 27 at 10:30 am -  a candidate for ministry will fill the pulpit during the worship service, with lunch and fellowship to follow

• February 28 at 6:00 pm - Zoom question and answer session with the candidate, with a viewing of one of his previous sermons at a previous church

• March 6 after the worship service - there will be a Special Meeting of the Congregation. A Zoom link will be available for this meeting upon request.
